  • 10 to 10:30 Welcoming Remarks & The Year in COED
  • 10:30 to 11:00 Updates by COED Affiliates (OUCEL, COU, EDC)
  • 11:00 to 11:45 SPARK Group Activity (Sparking Thought Provoking Questions)
  • 11:45 to 12:00 Next Year in COED
  • 12:00 to 1:30 Twalk – a walk-based Tweetchat. Our purpose is to allow you to explore the Teaching Commons and other teaching and learning “landmarks” on campus.
  • 1:30 to 1:40 Overview of Open Space Technologies & Afternoon Agenda
  • 1:40 to 2:55 Learning Circles
  • 2:55 to 3:50 Reconvene as large group and present discussion synopsis in plenary.
  • 3:50 to 4:00 Reflection Activity & Closing Remarks

Curriculum Working Group Meeting Details

The purpose of the curriculum working group is to bring together educational developers working on curriculum-related matters at universities and colleges to exchange ideas and resources.

  • 10:00 to 12:00 Updates, tools and resources to share, research on curriculum development
  • 12:00 to 1:00 Lunch
  • 1:00 to 4:30 Collaborative projects update, discussion and planning for future curriculum projects

Registration Details

Registration closes Friday, November 3, 2017, at 4:30 PM.

Due to the capacity of the venue, participation at the COED Fall meeting on November 10, 2017 has been capped at 60. If we have reached maximum registration, please feel free to contact you can email mfmistak@yorku.ca or maynat@yorku.ca to be added to a waiting list.

Fees and Payments

COED Fall Meeting: Friday November 10, 2017 | $45.00 / person

Curriculum Working Group: Thursday November 9, 2017 | $35.00 / person

Your registration each day includes refreshments/snack breaks and lunch.

Payment must be received on the day of the event via cash or cheque payable to York University.

The below link provides you with campus maps and directions for driving, public transportation, etc. Please note that we are at the Keele Campus in the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Building (formerly TEL Bldg., next to Seneca College) which is located at 88 Pond Road which is #39 on the campus map. The closest parking garage is at the Student Services Parking Garage which is #84 on the campus map – parking charges apply.

The Executive Learning Centre. Rooms are limited, so they are on a first come first serve basis. If you require accommodations and wish to make a reservation, please contact guestroom reservations directly by either email reservations@schulich.yorku.ca or call 416-650-8300. Upon booking please use the block quote #250658 and indicate that this is for the COED Fall Annual Meeting.

The rate will be $149.00 per room, per night for single occupancy. This rate includes (1) continental breakfast per room, per night and any incidentals will be extra/added. The rate is subject to applicable taxes. *Note that you must book your room by October 10, 2017.
